An unspoilt historic townscape features outstanding buildings and impressive architecture.

Must be the most attractive market town in the East Yorkshire.  It boasts a wealth of history, some fabulous buildings, shopping and umpteen "you must visits."
It is a great place to spend some time.  It is small enough to be friendly - but what Yorkshire town can match -

Beverley Minster - merits a pilgrimage on its own.
St. Mary's - Alice in Wonderland.
Beverley Friary - almost as it was in medieval times.
Beverley Racecourse - with more than 20 days racing this year.

And within a short drive:
- Sledmere House
- Burton Agnes Hall

A little bit further:
- Castle Howard

And for something completely different, how about an underground control centre from the cold war at Holmpton, near Patrington - complete nonsense.

And how about the fabulous colours of East Yorkshire countryside immortalised by David Hockney; or fascinating, eerie, shortly disappearing Spurn point; or perhaps the puffins, thousands of them at Bempton Cliffs; or perhaps spend time in one or a dozen tiny medieval village churches on the Wolds.
